If you want to be invited back…

Holiday hors d'oeuvres. If you want people to come to your parties and if you want to be invited back to other people's parties make sure you have the right holiday hors d'oeuvres. I think there are a few rules that everyone should abide by. First and foremost, think of the people who are eating the hors d'oeuvres. No one wants to manhandle a difficult hors d'oeuvre. You just want to pop it in your mouth without a big fuss. Also, don't make something that is super sloppy that could ruin one's holiday outfit. You must also think about color. Make it exciting, not, "blah." Another important aspect is to serve a variety of hors d'oeuvres. Not everyone likes cheese. And for God's sake, make it fancy. Want to hear something funny? When I was about 20 years old, I shared a house in Bel Air, California with Count Erik Wachmeister of Sweden and actress Elizabeth Hurley. We would have superduper fancy dinner parties with major fancy guests. For the first party, Elizabeth and I were in charge of the hors d'oeuvres. I made a baked brie with cranberries. Guess what Elizabeth's hors d'oeuvre was? Cheetos. Puffy Cheetos. So funny.   1. I would imagine if one were Elizabeth Hurley (or even vaguely resembled her), one could serve pork rinds and get away with it non? ;)
    Most of these look so delightful but far too hard for lazy me...Picard here I come!
