Saint Valentine

Meet Valentin. We love him. Teddy and Valentin? Not so much…

P.S. Make sure to follow me on Instagram HERE to get first dibs on new items on the shop. This week we had a little chinoiserie, a little group of table bells and today a brilliant 19th century French oil painting with the most beautiful moody midnight blue colors that you've ever seen! Tomorrow? Antique French mother of pearl dessert knives!

  1. I'm so glad your new puppy arrived. Give the dogs some time and they will be besties. I've been keeping a baby gate up between rooms to keep all the dogs separate from the puppy. She is so sweet because she has forgiven all the dogs from when they bit her on the nose.

  3. I am so happy that you have a new addition to your family! And that Teddy has a brother to play with, give it time, I am sure that they will be best of friends. I have learned that the one thing that you know is unconditional is the love that your pets give you!

  4. He's darling. Poor Teddy. I hope he learns to love his new brother.
Please tell us what happened to your gorgeous cat? Did he/she get a new home?

  5. Poor Teddy, Just when he thought he finally had a family of his very own! Be sure to give him LOTS of extra attention so that he knows you still love him. I can imagine that a little, puppy-ish thing running around would seem more like rat than another dog. But Teddy seems to be sweet so perhaps he will understand in time.

Best wishes to you all, Charlotte Des Fleurs

  7. Ideas to try: Give Teddy treats when the puppy is near so he comes to associate good things with the puppy, also don't give puppy too much attention when Teddy is near, instead give it to Teddy so he realizes he's still #1 in your lives, also as someone else suggested put the puppy in a crate of confined space where Teddy can smell him and get used to being near him without killing him... ..and really they will work out their order in time, Teddy is afraid of losing what he's got with you!

  8. Given Teddy time and lots of love, reassuring him that you still love him and that the puppy will not be taking his place. I look forward to hearing more about Valentin! Every best wish, Leslie

  9. Congratulations--he's gorgeous. It may take a little bit of time, but they will soon be brothers. Looks like Valentin is going to be a pretty big boy. Have fun. xoxo Mary
