So there's this restaurant in Paris called Ferdi and they are known for having the best cheeseburger in Paris. I would go as far as saying the best in the world. Nothing beats this burger. Not even a room service one. This place is impossible to get a reservation to because they only have about ten tables and when Kim Kardashian is in town, her butt takes up four of those. I made a reservation Gracie O'Connellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12302386881784595481noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008662464580606671.post-20431517510051997312019-11-26T16:54:00.000-08:002019-11-26T16:54:09.084-08:00Gobble GobbleBonjour y'all!!
First, thank you all for your support of the book. I'm so so happy you are enjoying it and understanding my brain. I don't really have the words to thank you enough for purchasing my words! I always wanted to be a writer, I just assumed it would be for TMZ. This is so much better.
If you haven't purchased your copy yet, you can do so HERE. The Book Is Here!!!!So, Ty and I just bought tickets to Paris for November. We haven't purchased return tickets, because I plan on being on living there until the government catches me. Ty suggests we make it back to America before Christmas and before we get deported. We'll see what happens.
We were watching Midnight In Paris and all I could think was, "I want to go to there." I planned on writing a blog 3 weeks ago and then changed my mind and read Helter Skelter instead. Have you read that? Scary stuff. Charles Manson really is the devil. I just got back from Charleston, South Carolina and have a real hankering for pimento cheese. I don't care what form it comes on, a ritz, white bread, a spoon, whatever, I just need it again, like now. I know that I can make it, but because I am lazy, I think it tastes better coming straight out of the plastic container. The brand "Palmetto Pimento Cheese" is the best one. But that's just stupid. Don't go out and do reckless things because today might be your last day. What you really should be doing is waking up every day, putting on your inside helmut, and going through life on high alert of dangerous situations. But I'm also a scardy cat. I was home schooled in 2009, after a brief 3 week stint at a New York Public School. My education up to that year was composed of a Montecito version of a public school, Marymount and a private middle school that let us have class on the lawn if it was sunny out. The first and only time I went to Italy was with my high school. No, not my home school high school, although if that was offered as a field trip, I'm sure my mom would force me to go. With all the other home schooled nerds. When I went to the Dominican Academy in Manhattan, they offered a 2 week trip to Italy as an extra curricular. It was the only after school activity I enjoyed other than a cooking class. I went to a very progressive elementary school, where we could learn how to cook lasagna instead of how to hit a home run, if we wanted to. I dabbled in sports for approximately 1 month, but quickly realized I was more of an indoor girl. I don't like sports, I'm much too passive. I'm about to start the process of packing. My lease is up and I'm not one to renew. I don't like staying still, I wonder who I got that from. My whole life, my mom and I moved regularly. Sometimes, it was just down the street, and other times it was to another country. I always thought when I was younger, that I would graduate college, get an apartment, then never move ever again. I skipped work on Monday to prepare for the upcoming sale. Before the sales go live I have to shoot everything, measure everything and think of something interesting to say about everything. And I love doing it, I love every part of these sales, but they take some time, not including the actual hunt for the objects, because I could do that forever and never grow tire. But the preparation for Gracie O'Connellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12302386881784595481noreply@blogger.com13tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008662464580606671.post-66988593785127127592019-04-07T21:53:00.000-07:002019-04-07T21:53:51.689-07:00Let Them Eat Cake
If I saw someone walking around, wearing a clear plastic poncho, I would think that person needs to go home. If I saw that person wearing that poncho at Versailles, I would call the park ranger. Never did I think, that person, would be my mother.
In the summer of 2008, my mom and grandmother decided that we were going to live in Paris forever. March 23rd was my mom's birthday. I always celebrate her birthday with a brunch of some sort. I don't remember my mom ever being a lady who brunches, but we both loved eggs benedict, so I figured I'll make a tradition out of it. So, this Saturday, I went to the Chateau Marmont with Ty in honor of my mom turning 49. It's crazy to think how young she was, still is. Not even 50, and I'm already Gracie O'Connellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12302386881784595481noreply@blogger.com26tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008662464580606671.post-88040393491273759092019-03-21T07:27:00.002-07:002019-03-21T07:28:16.490-07:00Seconds anyone?

Last week I was driving down from Los Angeles to Palm Springs. I was in the middle of heated debate with myself, "I just don't think I can get on board with Meghan Markle!" Ty was in the car too, but I knew he had no interest and probably didn't even know who Meghan Markle was and I wasn't sure I thought she was worth explaining. When I was 12 years old, my mom and grandmother opened their shop, Circa, in Montecito. I don't think they budgeted into their Parisian buying trip, the cost of an assistant, because I was tricked into that position. With the promise of all the Nutella crepes I could want and a new outfit from the Galleries Lafayette kids department, I agreed I would help. This morning I seriously thought about drinking at work. I don't know if it's because I just got back from drinking wine all day and night in Paris, or because I really hate my job. The only thing that stopped me was that the only alcohol I had at home was beer and it would be rude to burp at work. I may hate my job and everyone there, but there's no way I would ever let anyone think I Gracie O'Connellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12302386881784595481noreply@blogger.com29tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008662464580606671.post-38621642638817765832019-01-14T14:16:00.001-08:002019-01-14T14:16:15.342-08:00It's In My Blood
A few years ago, I used to be called weird and/or creepy because my hobby was researching crime scene photos. Now, it's just considered quirky, everyone and their plus one uses the line, "I love serial killers, it's like so edgy." Listen up, if this is recent development for you, you're not into murder, you're into attention. It's not something you learn to love, it's a curse you're born Gracie O'Connellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12302386881784595481noreply@blogger.com47tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008662464580606671.post-35707167129249184022018-12-13T11:40:00.002-08:002019-01-14T13:45:18.260-08:00Spread My Ashes At Sizzler
My two favorite restaurants as of now are Souplantation and Sizzler, I like them both for basically the same reason, a buffet. I like to choose my own food and choose the amount of food. I don't like telling people "Yes, you heard me correct, both the pasta and the steak." Souplantation is more of a salad bar and soup bar selection, while Sizzler basically signals your body that you have Gracie O'Connellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12302386881784595481noreply@blogger.com114tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008662464580606671.post-8726097727628911752016-11-19T13:05:00.002-08:002016-11-19T13:13:05.416-08:00Surviving ThanksgivingJust wanted to repost Ellie's Thanksgiving book since it's about that time and some may need and want it.
