Hi everyone. It's your friend, Ellie. I promise a long blog tomorrow with all of the updates. Thank you for all your prayers... I think they are working.
I've been stalking this web site waiting for an update. I pray continually for your road to recovery! So very grateful to see a short post! Love and prayers, Karen
Dear sweet Ellie, I have been in a similar situation for the last 5 months in San Francisco and there have been days where hope was impossible to find, faith impossible to feel and my heart, so easy to find gratitude even in the dark times, impossible to see. And I laughed when I heard your prayer at Notre Dame.'I've said that prayer many times. I think God is fine with a " fuck" here and there for emphasis. I keep mentioning, in my prayers, that i'm SO done with the concept of God only gives us what we can handle". ENOUGH! Anyway I too am sending prayers and many blessings your way. I hope someone has outright asked you to please do what you can to please choose life. We all need you hear and miracles happen once we start to tell God we WANT to live. Choose life even in your worst moments. Pray, pray, pray. You are so special and though I don't know you personally we are a lot alike... Especially put love of Paris. I have booke my annual flight for September though I had to cancel last year, and I am CHOOSING that I will be better. My plan is to get myself out of the direction of " I hope I make it" to " I'm going to make it and be in my beloved Paris this fall". I wish you Godspeed and please know that you are thought of and loved by many. Stay strong and pray. It seems as though many are doing the same. God bless. Ps. Can you be taken to hear the organ practice at St. Sulpice? That's where I love to hang. Much love, Michelle
Hurray! I have missed hearing your "voice". I am so happy for you for any improvement. We will wait (maybe not patiently) but we will wait for you. Sending good wishes and love!
I have never left a comment before - but have to say I am blown away. You're still here! It's a freaking miracle. I am so happy for you and your family. Goodness gracious woman you have some tenacity. Well done!
Never commented before but just had to. What wonderful news - you're still here! I'm so happy for you and your family. Goodness gracious woman you have some tenacity! Keep going Ellie.
So, so, so, happy. Now there are tears. I was praying so hard for you last night . . . for you and your family. I want you to have a lot more time together and I want you to feel as good as possible.
Can't wait to read your words tomorrow I've missed them terribly. Have also missed your culinary consult as I made clam chowder this weekend and had trouble finding input that didn't involve someone trying to prove what an insiders take on New England they have. Pretending to be a New Englander is my thing, damn it.
Oh wonderful!!! This post has me smiling and has set the tone for the day. You have come to mind often for prayer. I want to see our prayers answered for a full recovery. I believe in miracles. Why not what do you have to loose but the awful ALS. Anonymous Cherry
Oh, Ellie! Seeing this post from you, YOU OF ALL PEOPLE, makes me so happy! (Reminds me of La Contessa but caps are required here.)I have been checking daily, sometimes more than once or twice. I haven't been appointed to speak for everyone, but I am comfortable in doing so. WE have ALL been worried and anxious for you. Peace and blessings on your road to better health. Much love coming your way.
Oh my God! Praise the Lord, Ellie!!! I have been checking your blog every day looking for updates! The old adage "No news is good news" fought with my fear of 'not knowing'!! I hate that black hole!! Anyway, thanks for letting us know and take your time getting better....just an occasional high-five is all we need right now!
I have been checking here and instagram constantly hoping for some news about you. Soo many of us are praying for you to improve. Glad to see you in your wheelchair! xoxox Judi
That is the best news possible !!! So glad to see you writing, even these three little sentences are beautiful. Can't wait to hear more. Prayers will keep coming loaded with love. Good for you, Ellie!
OMG...I am so happy to see this post, dear Ellie. You are thought of often with hope that you are improving. Bless you and all who care for you, pray for you and love you. Sally
Thank heavens!! I breathed a sigh of relief today when I opened your post! I know there were hundreds and hundreds of other readers doing the same thing. Can't wait to read tomorrow post . . . welcome back!

But, it is so much more wonderful for news to come from you! Keep up the brave fight, lovely girl, we need your wisdom, taste and snark back! Sending you warmth, love and sunshine.......
So happy to hear from you. You have been in my thoughts often & I've prayed you would get your strength back. Please take all the time you need to get well & thanks for checking in with us.
Ellie, I prayed for you today, and I stopped praying for myself a year ago. I hope that the photo means you are better. I hope also that the feelings of loneliness have passed. If love and prayers and good wishes could cure, you would be doing cartwheels right now.
Thank God for that!!! Have been logging on daily to see if there were any updates....i only wish you the very best. I don't know you but have been following your blog for a number of years now - you have great mental strength and i know you can make it. Cannot wait to hear some positive news. So sorry to read of this recent turn of events. I've been thinking of you often and am very encouraged to see that you will be able to give an update. Hi Ellie, I'm not an habitual prayer , but you have certainly been in my daily thoughts. I do think we all have a guardian angel who takes care of us, and it seems yours thankfully has been doing their job properly. Keep up the good fight, stay strong and you'll get there. I'll even send my guardian angel to help out . I always read your posts, but don't very often post a comment, but your few words today touched me. To use your humorous sayings ' I might even say a prayer for you,' Take care from ... a blogging friend in France.
Bless you, save your strength for you. We will patiently await word from you when the time is right. The picture said a thousand words. We love you and appreciate all that you share and give to our worlds.

Lighting candles for you in Houston! I'm also drinking tequila for you, because I believe a girl should cover her bases. Sending you much blogosphere love. xoxo
I was scared to open the link, and then I saw your happy news, Ellie. Prayer is a powerful thing as is sheer will and determination. Combine the two and.....well look at Ellie go! So glad you are turning a corner. Lots of prayers answered for sure. Bless you, Ellie. Jackie C.
Best news- you have been on my mind every day. I have been sending lots of positive healing prayers and vibes your way. Be patient, because they are coming all the way from San Francisco- there must be some lag time ;) Lots of love to you today and every day.
Dear Ellie, I wish I had found this earlier but I thought I would show it to you nonetheless. I don't know if it will help, but I hope it does. http://www.medycynaludowa.com/en/choroby.php?id=bas I read all of it and it sounds so promising. I know that they don't admit people with advanced ALS only because they can't provide all the necessary assistance. However, I strongly believe you should read about it and try to contact them. I think about you everyday, you really inspire me.❤️ Don't give up.
Ellie you have shared yourself with us so honestly and openly through the years and touched us with your vulnerablity, humor, wit and talent. Many of us have fallen in love with you. This tribe that cares and prays and follows along with your journey is something very special. You "run with the wolves" my Dear and we run with you. Thank you for the gift of You!

I read all of it and it sounds so promising.
I know that they don't admit people with advanced ALS only because they can't provide all the necessary assistance. However, I strongly believe you should read about it and try to contact them.
I think about you everyday, you really inspire me.❤️ Don't give up.
