I bought one 20 years ago when we were moving to Santa barbara and starting to build our house.....I love it. I take it twice a year to be "refurbished"! Last year it had to go to Paris! I wanted to go with it!
I adore it.....and I use it every day. And not for any other reason than.....it is the perfect size, color and everything about it is perfect!!
(My husband refused to believe me when I told him there was a 3-year waiting list!)
(price per wearing......the least expensive thing I have ever purchased in my entire life!)!!
It is red; and that bumpy leather that doesn't show scratches!
And now costs double...or more. Still.....worth every penny!!
XXOO
I could stay up all night long reading your posts......Thank God I found you!!
I totally agree with you. I bought a vintage Kelly bag in Paris years ago. I was told that it came from the estate of the wife of the owner of the George V. I love it. I'm glad you like the blog. I love your house and every single thing about it. XOXO
The allure of the Birkin has been diminished for sure, as you've shown in the photos above. For this reason and the fact that there are thousands of counterfeits walking the streets of NYC I've decided not to buy another one. Love you Ellie (and Gracie!)
I rarely like to write LOL but LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteI CAN ONLY hope some if not all.....are fakes.
ReplyDeleteOh dear.
